Forestry operations in the Leipzig forest district, multi-year framework agreements 2027–2030

Summary

The procurement concerns framework agreements for forestry operations in four areas of the Leipzig forest district: Collm, Horstsee, Leipzig South and Wermsdorf. The work includes planting and replanting, tending young growth and stands, site preparation and mulching, mowing road verges and ditches, installing and removing deer fencing, and other forestry-related ancillary work, machinery services and transport. The exact tasks and quantities depend on the lot and the annual schedule of works. Work will be ordered as needed through individual work orders during 2027–2030. At least 80% of the estimated total volume is guaranteed; additional areas may be included with the contracting authority’s written confirmation. Following a routine call-off, work must begin within three working days at the latest; in the event of an emergency or natural disaster, it must begin within 24 hours. The contractor must provide the required workforce, machinery and equipment. Where specified for a lot, the rate for manual motorised-brushcutter cultural maintenance must be at least EUR 850 per hectare. The contractor must appoint an authorised representative with adequate German-language skills and a qualified on-site team leader. If foreign-language workers are used, a German-speaking foreman able to translate must be present throughout working hours. The bidder must provide a list of the machinery and workers to be used and maintain adequate liability insurance. Every machine and vehicle used must carry a fire extinguisher containing at least 6 kg of extinguishing agent.
